The safety of gas heaters
The topic of gas heaters safety is somehow controversial. Due to the number of accidents that took place in cases of using non-flued heaters, these products are described as less safe that other similar items. However, it all depends on the type of product and the way we used it. Because non-flued heaters can emit dangerous substances such as carbon monoxide or nitrogen dioxide, they are frequently used outside rather than inside. They are usually portable, so more convenient at the same time, and they become useful if large spaces are to be heated. Flued gas heaters, which have a ventilation system installed, are much safer for home use. However, you still have to be quite cautious when using them. They cannot be left on during the night or when you leave home. If you have small children, avoid using this type of heaters altogether. After all, even if you keep the product in and excellent condition, you can never be absolutely sure it"s working properly. I strongly advice you to use your central heating system instead. Temperature at home can also be regulated with these systems. Gas heaters are good for people for know a lot about this sort of equipment, or those who want to use them outdoors.
