Illegal theory driving test
Giving bribes is a very serious subject in todays world. The different attitude towards giving bribes depends on the region of the world. In developing countries bribes are more common. It is hard to get anything done without giving bribe. That is because those countries are poor and politics are taking advantage of the people. In rich, developed countries on the other hand, giving and taking bribes is less popular. Still they are serious problem and it would be hard to get rid of them completely. Once in a while we are able to hear on the TV that someone was caught giving bribe or taking it and that now he or she has some serious problems. It usually refers to doctors in our country. But I have recently read an article in the newspaper that applied to other profession. According to investigation made by a journalist there was a driving instructor taking bribes from people for theory driving test. His job was to make sure that they will pass it without problems. It was established that he has taken about hundred bribes last year. He might go to prison for five years. Who would have guessed that people are willing to pay for passing the theory driving test. Have you noticed other professions where bribes are "popular"?
